JD Logistics, the logistics arm of JD.com, seeks an agile Warehouse Exception Handler in Madrid to own real-time operational anomalies and safeguard inventory integrity.

You will resolve damaged stock, unscannable barcodes, missing items, and WMS discrepancies by coordinating with floor supervisors, ICQA, and IT/WMS support to keep fulfillment moving and compliant with quality standards.

Formación

• Prior experience in warehouse problem-solving or exception handling in a high-volume fulfillment center or 3PL hub.
• Strong hands-on proficiency with WMS, RF scanners, barcode troubleshooting tools, and basic MS Excel/data entry.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; Spanish/Italian is a plus; Mandarin is a strong plus.
• Ability to work flexible shifts (early mornings, late evenings, or rotation) to support launch requirements.

• Maintain absolute inventory integrity by updating system stock and performing root-cause investigations for discrepancies.
• Log exception types in the WMS and provide weekly data feedback to department leads to prevent recurrence.

Context of the Position

As part of our rapid international expansion across Europe, JD Logistics is establishing high-velocity automated distribution centers and logistics hubs. We are seeking an agile, problem-solving Warehouse Exception Handler to take ownership of physical and systemic operational anomalies, ensuring zero process friction and maintaining absolute inventory integrity.

The Mission & Core Scope

• The Mission: Identify, investigate, and resolve all real-time warehouse operational exceptions (damaged stock, unscannable barcodes, missing items, WMS inventory mismatches, and system-blocked parcels) to keep fulfillment flows moving without delay.
• The Scope: You will act as the first line of defense for floor anomalies across Inbound, Outbound, and Sorting departments, working directly with floor supervisors, ICQA, and IT/WMS support teams to clear operational bottlenecks.

Crucial Expectations & Performance Targets

To provide a clear understanding of the accountability required, the successful candidate will be evaluated on the following key metrics during the initial 6 to 12 months:

• Exception Resolution SLA: Resolve daily floor exception tickets and physical problem-solve totes within strict time windows to prevent order cut-off misses.
• Inventory Discrepancy Elimination: Conduct immediate root-cause investigations for short-picks or bin mismatches, updating system stock accurately to minimize inventory adjustments.
• Quality & Packaging Recovery: Manage the repackaging, re-labeling, and quarantine of damaged or non-compliant goods in accordance with quality and safety protocols.
• Data Accuracy & Trend Reporting: Accurately log exception types in the WMS, providing weekly data feedback to department leads to prevent recurring operational errors.

Position Requirements

• Logistics & Problem-Solving Experience: Prior experience in warehouse problem-solving, inventory troubleshooting, or exception handling within a high-volume e-commerce fulfillment center or 3PL hub.
• WMS & Systems Literacy: Strong hands-on proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), RF scanners, barcode troubleshooting tools, and basic MS Excel/data entry.
• Language Proficiency: Professional fluency in English is mandatory. Fluency in local languages (Spanish or Italian) is preferred; Mandarin proficiency is a strong plus.
• Operational Flexibility: Ability to work flexible shifts (including early mornings, late evenings, or rotation schedules) aligned with operational launch requirements.
