Job summary

DWS Group in Madrid is seeking an Operations Specialist- Operations Vendor Oversight, AVP to lead governance of outsourced services and drive AI-enabled improvements. You will coordinate with business owners, manage risk and oversee budgets while shaping the vendor oversight model for retirement accounts.

The role requires strong communication in English and German, experience in procurement or finance, and a passion for data-driven, scalable operations within a global asset management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
• Solid industry knowledge of wealth management, asset management or retirement savings.
• Experience in service provider management, procurement or finance would be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of German outsourcing regulations would be an advantage.
• Confident written and verbal communication in both German and English would be preferable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee outsourced services through a governance framework aligned with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain service catalogs, SLAs, MI and KPIs, and monitor performance through risk-based controls.
• Prepare, lead and document service review and due diligence meetings and contribute to outsourcing reports.
• Act as the interface between DWS Business Owners and service providers, coordinating enquiries and escalations.
• Support budget planning, actuals, forecasts and cost oversight; approve vendor invoices and monitor service credits.
• Help build the vendor oversight model for a new retirement savings platform and drive process improvements.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI, machine learning and workflow automation to reduce manual intervention.
