Job summary

DWS Group in Madrid is seeking an Operations Specialist- Operations Vendor Oversight, AVP to govern outsourced services and oversee contracts, SLAs, and KPIs while aligning with German regulatory outsourcing requirements.

You will lead service reviews, manage escalations, support budgeting, and drive automation with AI and data analytics to improve controls and transparency across retirement savings initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
• Solid industry knowledge of wealth management, asset management or retirement savings.
• Experience in service provider management, procurement or finance would be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of German outsourcing regulations would be an advantage.
• Confident written and verbal communication in both German and English would be preferable.
• Proven ability to build effective, sustainable relationships with internal stakeholders, external specialists and service providers.
• Strategic and connected thinking, combined with sound judgement in complex situations.
• A high degree of initiative, with thoughtful and confident decision-making.
• Practical understanding of AI, automation and data analytics concepts, with the ability to identify meaningful use cases in an Operations environment and partner with Technology to deliver them responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Oversee outsourced services through a governance framework aligned with internal policies, service standards and German regulatory outsourcing requirements.
• Develop and maintain service catalogues, SLAs, management information and KPIs; monitor performance through risk-based controls and service reviews.
• Prepare, lead and document service reviews, due diligence and management escalation meetings; contribute to outsourcing reports.
• Act as the interface between DWS Business Owners and service providers; coordinate enquiries, complaints and escalations; ensure incidents and risks are communicated.
• Support the joint project book of work, including regulatory and strategic initiatives; analyze outsourced processes to drive improvements.
• Contribute to budget planning, actuals, forecasts and project cost oversight; validate vendor invoices and monitor service credits.
• Help build the vendor oversight model for the retirement savings platform; establish processes and trusted partnerships.
• Contribute to Smart Middle Office by applying AI, ML, workflow automation and data analytics to reduce manual tasks and improve controls.
• Translate pain points into automation/AI use cases; collaborate with Technology to deliver scalable solutions.
