Job summary

Step Ahead Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Service Manager based in Valencia to lead after-sales operations for earthmoving equipment, focusing on excavators and loaders below 80 tonnes. You will develop service teams, strengthen dealer capabilities and drive growth in parts, maintenance packages and service contracts.

The role combines technical leadership with commercial responsibility, requiring travel within the region.

Qualifications

• Experience in after-sales for construction machinery or heavy equipment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems in excavators and loaders.
• Proven dealer management and customer relationship experience.
• Commercial awareness with ability to grow service revenue and parts sales.
• Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or related field.
• Fluent Spanish and business English.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a service team of representatives and technicians.
• Strengthen dealer service capabilities including workshop resources and parts availability.
• Oversee technical support, breakdown response, and service delivery for key customers.
• Drive spare parts sales and promote maintenance packages and service contracts.
• Manage service profitability, operations performance and warranty costs.
• Coordinate parts inventory planning for availability and stock control.
• Oversee warranty claims and coordinate product improvements and training.
• Build strong relationships with dealers and customers and resolve issues promptly.
