Job summary

Synergy Construction is seeking a skilled Tender Engineer for our Madrid office. You will review project requirements, costings, and technical drawings to develop competitive tenders, while coordinating with suppliers and preparing schedules.

Qualifications

• Graduated from Civil Engineering or Architecture departments of universities.
• At least 4 years of experience in Technical Office or Tender Department.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Eager to learn.
• Strong communication skills to communicate with suppliers.
• Good understanding sub & superstructure construction works.
• Able to analyze project requirements, technical specifications, drawings.
• Excellent command of Spanish and English, both written and spoken, is a must.
• Proficient in using Excel, MS Project and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing project requirements, technical specifications and drawings, obtaining required details.
• Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity surveys or checking quantity requirements.
• Prepare and analyze project costings for tenders, such as materials, quantities, labour and time.
• Finding suppliers and communicating in accordance with project requirements and obtaining offers and required information for tenders.
• Comparing and analyzing multiple offers from different suppliers, preparing comparison charts, keeping record and archiving.
• Pricing/forecasting the cost of the different components needed for a project.
• Preparing preliminary work schedules for tenders.
