Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead to operate offshore wind assets from a Remote Operations Center in Barcelona. You will monitor turbine performance, analyze alarms, and coordinate remote diagnostics to ensure reliable energy delivery.

Your role spans commissioning and service, collaborating with site teams and engineering to resolve issues, optimise performance, and support grid contingencies while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind sector experience.
• Hands-on turbine or electromechanical systems experience in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot field situations.
• Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with calm, structured approach under pressure.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Fluent English; willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
