Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for the Remote Operations Center in Barcelona, Spain. You will oversee safe and efficient operation of offshore wind assets, collaborating with site teams and engineering experts to diagnose and resolve issues across commissioning and service phases.

You will monitor turbines, perform remote diagnostics, support field teams, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent
Hands-on wind turbine experience in operational environments
Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting
Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring tools
Fluent English, willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility
Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time

Responsibilities

Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions
Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting
Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance
Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information
Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems
Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities
Support reporting and communication of technical findings
Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation
Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance
Work on rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays
