China Three Gorges Europe is seeking a Technical Contract Specialist (Project/Asset Management) to join its Legal & Compliance Department in Madrid.

You will lead contract lifecycle management for EPC/O&M/Asset contracts, track milestones, mitigate risks, and respond to internal requests to draft and execute documents.

Fluency in English and Spanish at advanced levels is required, and a Law degree with at least 3 years in the legal/renewable energy sector is essential.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law or equivalent relevant discipline.
  • 3 years of experience in the legal/renewable energy sector.
  • English Advanced level (C1-C2).
  • Spanish Advanced level (C1-C2/Native).
  • Desirable master’s in renewable energy or related field.
  • Experience in EPC/O&M/Asset Management contract drafting and negotiation.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead/assist the contract lifecycle management workflow, esp. EPC/O&M/Asset contracts.
  • Keep track of important contract dates and milestones.
  • Mitigate contract management risks; ensure compliance and confidentiality.
  • Respond to internal requests; draft and execute contracts promptly.
  • Partner with other departments to improve contract processes.
  • Maintain a database of contract templates (NDAs, non-competes, etc.).
  • Assist in corporate management matters and department queries.

At China Three Gorges Europe we are looking for a Technical Contract Specialist (Project/Asset Management) to join our Legal & Compliance Department. In this role, you will be responsible of the following tasks:

  • Lead/assist the contract lifecycle management workflow, with special relevance in EPC/O&M/Asset Management contracts drafting and negotiation;
  • Keep track of important contract dates and milestones, including bonds/guarantees;
  • Mitigate common contract management risks, such as financial, legal, and security risks; Know contract compliance best practices; Maintain confidentiality of all contracts;
  • Respond to requests from internal departments and make sure all contracts are drafted and executed promptly and correctly;
  • Partner with other departments to make the contract management process more effective and efficient;
  • Adhere to all state, regional and local business laws and regulations and company policies;
  • Manage claims arising from the contracts;
  • Assist in corporate management matters and the department with any queries from the rest of the company;
  • Help maintain a database of contract templates, such as non-disclosures, non-competes, release forms, partnership agreements, purchase orders, employment contracts, and independent contractor/subcontractor agreements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, or equivalent relevant discipline.
  • 3 years of previous experience working in the legal/renewable energy sector.
  • English Advanced level (equivalent to C1-C2)
  • Spanish Advanced level (equivalent C1-C2/Native)
Other Valuable Requirements
  • Desirable master’s or specialization in renewable energy or any other related field.
  • Previous experience in EPC/O&M/Asset Management contract drafting, negotiation and execution (as well as any contracts related to the construction and supply of equipment in renewable projects, including contract management);
  • Previous experience working within a company in the renewable sector or in the energy team of a legal firm;
  • Intermediate to Advanced level of proficiency with Windows OS, MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Communication skills and relationship management, strategic thinking, ability to execute, problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Agile thinking and problem solving. Proactivity, with the ability to work independently. Ability to learn and apply internal procedures. Ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks at once.
