Opdenergy in Madrid seeks a Contract Manager to join the team and manage project contracts with EPC contractors. You will ensure alignment across project management, construction, and legal teams to meet contractual milestones.

Ideal candidates have ~5 years in contract or project management within renewables, strong stakeholder skills, and fluency in English. The role offers a hybrid model and permanent contract with growth opportunities.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or similar field.
• Around 5 years of experience in contract management or project management within renewable energy.
• Solid experience with EPC contractors in utility-scale projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-team coordination.
• Good understanding of project execution and contractual frameworks.
• High level of English.

Responsabilidades

• Act as a key link between Project Management and EPC contractors, ensuring contractual alignment during execution.
• Manage and oversee EPC and key supplier contracts during project execution.
• Ensure compliance with contractual milestones, deadlines and deliverables.
• Monitor contractor performance, including KPIs and technical requirements.
• Lead contractual matters: claims, variations and dispute resolution during construction.
• Drive project execution from a contractual perspective across technical, construction and legal teams.
• Identify contractual risks and define mitigation strategies to protect delivery.
• Contribute to contract negotiations and ongoing contract management.

Opdenergy is a growing independent renewable energy producer (IPP) with presence in Europe, United States and Latin America with more than 21 years of experience. The company develops, builds, finances, manages, and operates high quality renewable energy projects in several countries, with a portfolio of 2,6 GW (1,3 operational and + 1,3 ready to build / under construction) assets in operations and construction, whole portfolio under development sums up to over 18 GW.

We are currently looking for a Contract Manager to join our Madrid team.

What will you help with?

• Act as a key link between Project Management and EPC contractors, ensuring contractual alignment throughout project execution.
• Manage and oversee EPC and key supplier contracts during the execution phase of renewable energy projects.
• Ensure compliance with contractual milestones, deadlines and deliverables, closely tracking project progress.
• Monitor contractor performance, including KPIs, quality standards and technical requirements, in coordination with project teams.
• Lead the management of contractual matters, including claims, variations and dispute resolution during construction.
• Drive project execution from a contractual perspective, ensuring alignment between technical, construction and legal teams.
• Identify contractual risks and proactively define mitigation strategies to protect project delivery.
• Contribute to contract negotiation and ensure continuous and effective contract management throughout the execution phase.

Who you are

• Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or similar.
• Around 5 years of experience in contract management, project management or similar roles within the renewable energy sector.
• Solid experience working with EPC contractors in utility-scale projects.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with ability to coordinate across multiple teams.
• Good understanding of project execution and contractual frameworks.
• High level of English.
