ENGIE España invites you to join as Tech Lead – ENGIE B2B IT in Madrid to shape the technical evolution of the B2B IT landscape while remaining hands-on across analysis, design, development, deployment, operation and continuous improvement of ENGIE B2B IT solutions.

You will lead architecture, design and delivery of critical APIs, integrations and deployments, ensuring secure, scalable and maintainable systems. A strong track record in senior software development and team leadership is required.

Formación

• University degree or equivalent; technical background in Computer Science, Telecoms, Software Engineering or similar.
• Strong hands-on command of Angular, Python and FastAPI.
• Deep experience with REST/JSON APIs, OAuth 2.0, Keycloak and RBAC.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL; experience with MongoDB and RabbitMQ.
• Hands-on with Nginx, containers and Kubernetes; strong architecture skills.
• Experience in code review, CI/CD, observability, security lifecycle and incident management.
• Experience with hybrid Azure + on-premise architectures, Azure AKS, Terraform, ArgoCD/GitOps, GitHub, Nexus, Vault, Linux/Windows Server 2022.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the technical evolution of the B2B IT landscape, translating business priorities into design decisions and technical plans.
• Design and develop critical software components, APIs, integrations, automations and improvements hands-on.
• Organise and coordinate the team's technical work, clarify dependencies and remove blockers.
• Ensure solution quality through architecture reviews, testing strategy, security controls, observability and documentation.
• Make technical decisions within governance, manage technical debt, performance and maintenance.
• Monitor service health and lead incident response, resolving complex production problems.
• Define deployment, support, monitoring, change-management, recovery and escalation procedures.
• Mentor suppliers and stakeholders to build technical capabilities within the team.

For our headquarters in Madrid, we are looking for a Tech Lead – ENGIE B2B IT

to provide technical leadership while remaining strongly hands-on across the analysis, design, development, deployment, operation and continuous improvement of ENGIE B2B IT solutions. You will help ensure that our applications and integrations are secure, maintainable, scalable and highly available.

Mission

You will lead the technical evolution of the B2B IT landscape, translating business and product priorities into sound design decisions, technical plans and high-quality deliveries. At the same time, you will personally develop critical components and take ownership of the most complex or high-risk technical challenges.

Functions

• Lead the technical evolution of applications, translating business and product priorities into design decisions, technical plans and deliverables aligned with the target architecture.
• Design and develop critical software components, APIs, integrations, automations and improvements hands-on, taking ownership of the highest-complexity or highest-risk work when required.
• Organise and coordinate the team's technical work, distributing activities, clarifying dependencies, defining technical acceptance criteria and helping remove blockers.
• Ensure solution quality through architecture and code reviews, testing strategy, security controls, observability, documentation and compliance with delivery standards.
• Make technical decisions within the agreed governance framework and actively manage technical debt, obsolescence, performance, resilience and maintainability; elevate decisions with significant architectural, cost, supplier, risk or roadmap impact.
• Monitor service health and lead incident response, ensuring diagnosis, containment, restoration, communication, root-cause analysis and preventive actions; personally resolve complex production problems across code, data, integrations and supporting infrastructure.
• Define and improve deployment, support, monitoring, change-management, recovery and escalation procedures, promoting automation and DevSecOps/SRE practices.
• Manage technical collaboration with suppliers, advise business/product/Digital & IT stakeholders on feasibility and risk, and develop the technical capabilities of the team through mentoring, feedback, knowledge sharing and progressive delegation.

Minimum Requirements

• University degree or equivalent, or upper-secondary / advanced vocational education with relevant professional experience. Preferred background: Computer Science, Telecommunications, Software Engineering or similar.
• Strong hands-on command of Angular, Python and FastAPI.
• Deep experience with REST/JSON APIs, OAuth 2.0, Keycloak and role-based access control (RBAC).
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL, plus experience with MongoDB and RabbitMQ.
• Hands-on experience with Nginx, containers and Kubernetes, together with solid application and integration architecture skills.
• Strong background in code review, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, secure software development lifecycle practices, incident management and technical planning.
• Valuable experience with hybrid Azure + on-premise architectures, Azure AKS, MicroK8s, Terraform, ArgoCD/GitOps, GitHub, Nexus, HashiCorp Vault, Azure Storage Accounts, Linux and Windows Server 2022.
• Additional value from Fortinet, Zabbix, Grafana, Power BI, Zoho/Zoho Creator, SIGE/Audinfor, SAP, SFTP integrations and SRE/DevSecOps practices.
• Experience technically managing suppliers and working with energy commercialisation processes is considered an advantage.
• English: B2 / upper-intermediate minimum recommended; C1 is valuable for international technical coordination.
• Experience guideline: around 6+ years as a Senior Software Developer, including solution design, production development, operational support and resolution of complex incidents, plus demonstrable experience technically leading teams or initiatives.
