ENGIE Group in Madrid is seeking a Software Developer Mid/Senior to analyse, design, develop, test, deploy and maintain software solutions for ENGIE's B2B IT. You will cover applications, APIs, integrations and services with emphasis on quality, security, availability and continuity.

Join the Digital & IT – Energy Supply Iberia team, collaborating with product, operations and cybersecurity. Depending on level, you’ll gain autonomy and mentor colleagues in a hybrid work environment.

Formación

• University degree or equivalent, or upper‑secondary / advanced vocational education with relevant professional experience.
• Hands‑on experience with Angular, Python and FastAPI.
• Experience with REST/JSON APIs, OAuth 2.0, Keycloak and RBAC.
• PostgreSQL and SQL, plus MongoDB and RabbitMQ.
• Experience with Nginx, containers and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of automated testing, version control and CI/CD practices.
• Understanding of observability, secure SDLC practices and incident management in production environments.
• Valuable experience with Azure AKS, MicroK8s, Terraform, ArgoCD/GitOps, GitHub, Nexus, HashiCorp Vault and Azure Storage Accounts.
• Additional value from Grafana, Zabbix, Power BI, Zoho/Zoho Creator, SIGE/Audinfor, SFTP, hybrid Azure + on‑premise environments and DevSecOps practices.
• English: B2 / upper‑intermediate level recommended for technical documentation and coordination in an international environment.
• Experience guideline: around 3+ years. Mid‑level profiles should have consolidated experience developing and maintaining production software; Senior profiles should bring broader experience, technical autonomy, complex problem solving and the ability to support less experienced colleagues.

Responsabilidades

• Analyse functional, technical and operational requirements, identifying impacts and acceptance criteria.
• Design and develop software components, APIs, integrations, processes and automations.
• Create and maintain unit, integration and regression tests.
• Review code and propose improvements for maintainability, performance and security.
• Execute deployments and environment changes with proper change-control.
• Monitor applications via logs, metrics and alerts; diagnose incidents and root‑cause.
• Maintain technical documentation and runbooks; estimate effort and blockers.
• Collaborate with business and tech stakeholders and support service restoration.

For our headquarters in Madrid, we are looking for a Software Developer Mid/Senior – ENGIE B2B IT

to analyse, design, develop, test, deploy and maintain software solutions supporting ENGIE's B2B energy supply activities. You will work across applications, APIs, integrations, services and associated components, with a strong focus on quality, security, availability and service continuity.

Mission

You will contribute hands‑on throughout the software lifecycle, turning functional, technical and operational requirements into reliable, maintainable solutions. The role combines software development with testing, deployment, monitoring and production support.

Working within Digital & IT – Energy Supply Iberia and reporting to the Tech Lead / Senior Software Developer, you will collaborate with business, product, operations, infrastructure, data, cybersecurity and external providers. Depending on your level, you will operate with increasing technical autonomy and support less experienced colleagues.

Functions

Analyse functional, technical and operational requirements, identifying impacts, dependencies, risks and acceptance criteria to translate business needs into implementable solutions.

Design and develop software components, APIs, integrations, processes and automations in line with the defined architecture, coding standards, cybersecurity requirements and quality principles.

Create and maintain unit, integration and regression tests, contributing to functional validation to reduce defects and ensure reliable releases.

Review your own code and that of other team members, proposing concrete improvements in maintainability, performance, security, observability and engineering practices.

Execute deployments and authorised environment changes, documenting actions and following change-control and segregation-of-duties procedures.

Monitor application behaviour through logs, metrics, alerts and available monitoring tools; diagnose and resolve production incidents, errors and bugs, including root‑cause documentation and escalation when required.

Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, runbooks and design decisions; estimate effort, communicate progress and blockers, and contribute to planning and continuous improvement.

Collaborate closely with business and technology stakeholders and participate in the operational support mechanisms defined for the services, prioritising service restoration and clear communication.

• University degree or equivalent, or upper‑secondary / advanced vocational education with relevant professional experience. Preferred background: Computer Science, Telecommunications, Software Engineering or similar.
• Hands‑on experience with Angular, Python and FastAPI.
• Experience with REST/JSON APIs, OAuth 2.0, Keycloak and role‑based access control (RBAC).
• Practical knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL, plus experience with MongoDB and RabbitMQ.
• Experience with Nginx, containers and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of automated testing, version control and CI/CD practices.
