Descripción de la vacante

ENGIE España is seeking a Pricing Analyst to join the Supply Portfolio Management team in Madrid. The role centers on pricing decisions at the intersection of trading, risk, and sales, ensuring competitive, risk-adjusted margins and governance compliance across Power and Gas offerings.

You will design pricing models, structure client proposals, and monitor portfolio performance while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize risk and profitability.

Formación

  • University degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or equivalent quantitative field.
  • 3–8 years of experience in the energy sector, preferably in supply portfolio management, pricing, trading support, or risk management roles at energy retailers, utilities, or energy trading companies.
  • Demonstrable experience working with Iberian electricity and/or natural gas markets.
  • Experience in pricing and structuring B2B/industrial offers in liberalized markets.
  • Solid knowledge of Iberian energy market structure and mechanisms and Spanish regulatory framework.
  • Knowledge of energy financial instruments: physical and financial forwards, swaps, indexed formulas, etc.
  • Python programming for data analysis, modeling, and automation.
  • SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Advanced Excel (financial models, macros, pivot tables).
  • Visualization and reporting tools: Power BI, Dataiku, or equivalents.
  • Spanish: native or fluent
  • English: fluent (minimum B2/C1)

Responsabilidades

  • Pricing model development and maintenance for B2B, industrial and Giants clients in Power and Gas.
  • Define and implement pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
  • Structure commercial proposals for clients.
  • Manage the formalization of contracts.
  • Monitor and evaluate offers; provide insights on portfolio performance.
  • Contract and portfolio management in internal systems.
  • Produce reports on P&L, Risk, Finance, and portfolio.
  • Develop hedging strategies to mitigate market and credit risks.
  • Ensure compliance with risk policies and limits.

About The Team (Supply Portfolio Management, SPM)

The Supply Portfolio Management (SPM) team plays a key role in managing the energy supply business to end clients in Spain, covering a wide range of activities and closely collaborating with other areas within the organization. We are currently in full expansion, with an ambitious strategic project to boost the growth and robustness of the supply activity. This involves expanding the team, optimizing systems, and attracting new clients.

Mission

The Pricing Analyst plays a central role in commercial decision-making, operating at the intersection of trading, risk management, and sales. The analyst ensures that pricing reflects market conditions, risk-adjusted margins, and compliance with internal governance, contributing directly to portfolio profitability and the company's competitive positioning.

Pricing
  • Product Development: design, develop and maintain pricing models for our B2B, industrial and Giants clients in Power and Gas.
  • Pricing Methodology: Define and implement pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
  • Offer Management: Structure commercial proposals for clients.
  • Contracting: Manage the formalization of contracts.
  • Pipeline Analysis: Monitor and evaluate commercial offers, track success rates, and provide insights on overall portfolio performance.
Portfolio Representation
  • Contract and portfolio management and representation in our internal Trade Management System
  • Reporting: Produce detailed reports on P&L, Risk, Finance, and portfolio.
  • Portfolio Management: Administer and optimize portfolio performance.
  • Hedging Strategy: Develop and execute strategies to mitigate market and credit risks.
  • Risk Management: Following the established Risk Mandate, ensure compliant risks follow up and remediation within risk policies and limits.
Data
  • Grid Data: manage the demand/consumption data coming from the TSO/DSOs.
  • Team Data Owner: Act as the main responsible for managing and ensuring the quality of team data.
  • CDH: Use the internal CDH platform for data management.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of all processes and data.
Forecasting
  • Short-Term Forecasting: Demand forecast for the day-ahead purchase
  • Medium-Term Forecasting: Medium-Term demand forecast for portfolio optimization
