Jobbeschreibung

The mission of the Human Resources Directorate is articulated through four strategic pillars:

  • Foster individual and organisational development through talent attraction, training and development strategies.
  • Boost a culture based on mutual respect, inclusion, diversity and equal opportunities.
  • Foster well-being in a comprehensive approach, focusing on the following areas: working conditions, professional well-being, interpersonal relations and work-life balance.
  • Promote efficiency and quality by providing an excellent service.

The Human Resources Directorate comprises Talent Attraction & Acquisition, Professional Development and Training, Strategic HR Projects, Personnel Administration and Labour Relations, and is currently formed by a team of seventeen professionals.

We are looking for an HR professional with experience in Talent Acquisition to coordinate our Talent Acquisition team (three professionals) and ensure the consistent, efficient and compliant delivery of recruitment processes across the organisation. The role will coordinate day-to-day recruitment activities, ensure adherence to HR policies and procedures, and support the continuous improvement of recruitment practices and systems.

Beyond Talent Acquisition, this is a broad HR role with active involvement across the wider Human Resources function. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across all HR areas, contributing to employee lifecycle activities, supporting the implementation of HR policies and programmes, and collaborating on a wide range of people-related matters to help deliver an excellent employee experience.

This is an interim position with an expected duration of approximately one year, covering a temporary organisational need. While temporary in nature, the role offers a valuable opportunity to gain broad exposure to the HR function and may provide opportunities to apply for other positions within the institution in the future.

Main responsibilities and duties:
  • Coordinate and supervise the Talent Acquisition team (three professionals), ensuring the efficient, compliant and high-quality delivery of recruitment activities across the organisation.
  • Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, supporting hiring managers and ensuring alignment with OTM-R principles, DEI commitments and internal HR policies and procedures.
  • Monitor recruitment performance through KPIs, reporting and quality controls, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Contribute to employer branding and talent attraction initiatives, helping to strengthen the organisation’s visibility, reputation and candidate experience.
  • Collaborate across the full spectrum of Human Resources activities, supporting employee lifecycle processes, HR programmes and the implementation of people-related policies and initiatives.
  • Act as a trusted HR partner to managers and employees, providing guidance and contributing to a positive, inclusive and engaging employee experience.
Education and qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Business or a related field.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English (professional proficiency)
  • Fluency in Catalan
  • Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management will be an advantage.
  • Postgraduate Studies in Selection, Recruitment and Interview Techniques will be a plus.
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in Human Resources, including significant experience in Talent Acquisition.
  • Experience coordinating teams and recruitment processes, ensuring high-quality service delivery and compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Experience working with ATS platforms and strong knowledge of recruitment technologies, sourcing strategies and job portals.
  • Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
  • Proactive, results-oriented and highly flexible professional, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities, diverse HR activities and evolving organisational needs.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to analyse recruitment metrics and KPIs to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, together with solid knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.
  • Knowledge of Spanish employment legislation, job classification and grading, and HR best practices within research environments.
  • Experience contributing to employer branding, talent attraction and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Experience analysing broader HR metrics and KPIs to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Labour conditions:
  • Working hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week).
  • Starting date: As soon as possible
  • Gross annual salary: Remuneration will be determined by experience, skills and responsibilities and aligned with the Collective Agreement pay scale.
  • Contract type: Open-ended contract linked to the project (approx. 1 year with the possibility of accessing other career opportunities within the institution, subject to organisational needs and internal selection processes)
What can we offer?
  • Incorporation into the Vall d’Hebron Research Institute (VHIR), a public sector institution that promotes and develops biomedical research, innovation and teaching at Vall d’Hebron University Hospital (HUVH), the largest hospital in Barcelona and the largest within the Catalan Institute of Health (ICS).
  • A dynamic scientific environment of excellence, where cutting-edge biomedical projects are continuously developed.
  • Continuous learning and career development pathways.
  • 23 days of annual leave plus 9 personal days.
  • Flexible remuneration programme, including meal vouchers, health insurance, transport and more.
  • Corporate benefits platform, offering significant discounts on travel, culture, technology, gastronomy, sports and more.
  • Healthy offering– “Feel Good, Feel VHIR”: VHIR’s wellbeing programme offers a variety of activities to help staff thrive—physically, mentally, and socially. Through four pillars—Feel Well, Feel Connected, Feel Empowered, Feel Welcomed—it fosters health, growth, and community.
