Job summary

Vueling, part of the IAG Group, is seeking a Fleet Planning/FP&A professional to design and optimise fleet strategies and financial analyses. You will analyze lease economics, cash flows, and TCO to guide strategic decisions across the aircraft lifecycle.

The role requires strong financial modelling, budgeting, and data analytics skills, with collaboration across Finance, Operations and IAG Fleet teams. Fluency in English (B2) is required and Spanish knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in FP&A, Financial Controlling, Corporate Finance, Fleet Planning, Aircraft Leasing or similar analytical positions.
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and scenario analysis.
• Experience building and managing complex financial models and working with large data sets.
• Previous exposure to aviation, transport, leasing, infrastructure or capital-intensive industries will be highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain fleet planning models to support short, medium and long-term fleet strategies.
• Analyse fleet economics, including lease depreciation, lease rentals, debt, interest expenses and fleet-related cash flow.
• Calculate and monitor the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of aircraft and provide recommendations to optimise fleet costs.
• Support aircraft lease negotiations by conducting financial and economic analysis of leasing scenarios.
• Assess buy versus lease opportunities and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Forecast, manage and monitor fleet CAPEX, aircraft acquisitions and ownership structures.
• Prepare fleet cash flow forecasts, annual budgets and long-term financial projections.
• Analyse end-of-lease costs and support aircraft return, extension and fleet optimisation decisions.
• Prepare monthly fleet reporting, management reports and financial closing activities.
