Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Madrid seeks a Sr. Technical Account Manager to advise large financial services customers on cloud architecture, security, and operations across AWS services.

You will act as the voice of the customer, drive strategic initiatives, and guide adoption of AI capabilities to deliver measurable business outcomes. The role requires strong technical leadership, experience with distributed systems, and the ability to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Experience in design/implementation/operations/consulting with distributed applications.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or experience in technical engineering
• Experience in external enterprise customer-facing role as a technical lead, with strong oral and written communication skills
• Experience solving problems with technology in the Global Financial Services Industry
• Speak, write, and read fluently in Spanish

Responsibilities

• The TAM role is not directly hands on keyboard; you will work with engineers to resolve issues.
• Drive adoption of AWS services across customers' environments (EC2, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, etc.).
• Represent AWS within a customer's environment with your technical acumen.
• Lead discussions with senior leadership on incidents, trade-offs, and risk management.
• Own the technical strategy across compute, storage, networking, security, data and apps.
• Define and maintain operational frameworks like DevSecOps and Target Operating Models.
• Proactively keep environments healthy via reviews, monitoring, and runbooks.
• Use generative AI tools to accelerate troubleshooting and insights.
