DHL Supply Chain Valencia center of excellence is seeking a Carrier Manager to build strategic partnerships with international carriers and lead performance reviews to ensure cost efficiency, service quality, and capacity management.

You will negotiate with carriers, drive improvements, and collaborate with Operations, Planning, Procurement, and customers to define carrier strategy. The role requires travel and a strong background in logistics operations.

Formación

• Fluent English and availability to travel.
• Academic background in Logistics, Supply Chain, Freight Forwarding, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics operations within an international multimodal environment.
• Strong experience in strategic carrier or supplier management, negotiation, and relationship development.
• Proven ability to manage carrier performance through KPIs, SLAs, business reviews, and improvement plans.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
• Analytical, proactive, and business-oriented mindset.

Responsabilidades

• Develop strong, trusted relationships with key carriers and promote long-term strategic partnerships.
• Lead carrier performance reviews using KPIs and SLAs, ensuring clear follow-up and improvement actions.
• Manage negotiations, operational escalations, service commitments, capacity, and costs.
• Identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities across the carrier network.
• Define and support the carrier strategy in collaboration with Operations, Planning, Procurement, and customers.
• Translate performance data into concrete actions and strategic decisions.
• Evaluate and onboard new carriers, ensuring compliance with DHL and customer standards.
• Drive continuous improvement across the transport network to enhance service, efficiency, and reliability.
