Amaris Consulting in Barcelona is seeking a Software Packaging Engineer to own end-to-end packaging and delivery for IT projects. You will work in an international team, coordinating with IT and business stakeholders and ensuring packaging quality and compliance with standards.

The role demands strong scripting, packaging tools, and deployment platform expertise, plus Agile/ITIL experience and excellent communication. This is a hands-on position in a dynamic technology community.

• 5+ years creating advanced software packages in enterprise environments.
• 5+ years managing end-to-end software packaging requests and coordinating multiple requests.
• Strong scripting experience with PowerShell, Ansible, PSADT.
• Experience with packaging tools (Orca) and formats (MSI, MSIX, Intunewin).
• Experience with deployment platforms: Microsoft SCCM and Intune.
• Knowledge of networks, databases (SQL, MongoDB), software development, and API management.
• Experience with Agile, ITIL, or similar service management methodologies.
• Excellent communication with technical teams and stakeholders; proactive mindset.
• Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Own end-to-end lifecycle of software packaging requests: intake, analysis, registration, package creation, testing, delivery, deployment, and post-implementation support.
• Coordinate with IT and business teams to understand needs and define solutions.
• Design, build, customize, and maintain complex software packages (MSI, MSIX, Intunewin).
• Use and optimize packaging tools (Orca) to ensure quality and repeatability.
• Manage deployment to corporate devices via SCCM and Intune.
• Automate service processes and packaging workflows using PowerShell, Ansible, and PSADT.
• Document processes, incidents, and solutions; propose improvements.
• Monitor SLAs and KPIs; provide periodic reporting on requests and incidents.
• Provide Level 3 support for packaging/distribution incidents; lead root-cause analysis.
• Participate in cross-functional projects related to Application Delivery and IT services.

WHAT WOULD YOU NEED?

• English C1 or higher – written and spoken.
• +5 years of experience creating advanced software packages in enterprise environments.
• +5 years of experience managing end-to-end software packaging requests, coordinating multiple requests simultaneously.
• Strong expertise in scripting: PowerShell, Ansible, PSADT.
• Solid hands-on experience with software packaging tools (e.g., Orca) and formats such as MSI, MSIX, Intunewin.
• Proven experience in software distribution platforms: Microsoft SCCM and Intune.
• Valuable experience integrating packaging processes into broader IT service and deployment workflows.
• Knowledge of networks, databases (e.g., SQL, MongoDB), software development, and API management.
• Solid experience working with Agile, ITIL, or similar service management methodologies.
• Strong communication skills to interact with both technical teams and business stakeholders, with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of software packaging requests: intake, analysis, registration, package creation, testing, delivery, deployment, and post-implementation support.
• Coordinate closely with IT and business teams to understand needs, define optimal solutions, and prioritize tasks according to business impact.
• Design, build, customize, and maintain complex software packages (MSI, MSIX, Intunewin, etc.), ensuring compatibility, stability, and compliance with corporate standards.
• Use and optimize software packaging tools (e.g., Orca) to guarantee quality, traceability, and repeatability of packages.
• Manage and monitor software deployment to corporate devices via Microsoft SCCM and Intune, ensuring seamless rollout and minimal disruption.
• Automate service processes and packaging workflows using PowerShell, Ansible, and PSADT to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Document processes, incidents, and solutions, and proactively propose continuous improvements in the packaging and deployment workflow.
• Monitor SLAs and KPIs, providing periodic reporting on the status of requests, incidents, and overall service performance.
• Provide third-level (Level 3) support for incidents related to software packaging and distribution, leading root cause analysis and permanent fixes.
• Participate in cross-functional projects and ad-hoc tasks related to Application Delivery and IT services, contributing your expertise to strategic initiatives.
