Siemens Energy S.A. Madrid seeks a Software Implementation Trainee to support the design and testing of controllers for hybrid power plants.

You will collaborate with developers via Microsoft Teams and meet with your supervisor to plan objectives, contributing to integrating renewables and storage into the grid. You’ll develop testing tools to verify grid-code compliance, generate controller models in MATLAB/Simulink, and design HIL test protocols.

Join us as you plan the development of innovative tools that support the design and testing of controllers for hybrid power plants. Imagine engaging continuously with fellow developers via Microsoft Teams, where you’ll receive guidance and support across various work areas. Periodically, you’ll meet in person with your supervisor, who will assist you in planning and achieving your objectives. Through your work on these controllers, you’ll play a vital role in integrating renewable energy and electrochemical batteries into the electrical grid, supporting Siemens Energy’s mission to enable a sustainable energy future.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Develop testing tools to verify compliance with grid code specifications.
• Generate tools for creating controller models in different programming languages.
• Design test protocols to be implemented using Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) methodologies.

What You Bring

• A background in Electrical Engineering.
• Knowledge of power system control.

• Familiarity with basic office tools such as Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint (desirable).
