Zurich Insurance Group seeks a Senior SAM Specialist to optimize software spend and ensure licensing compliance across global IT environments. You will lead SAM practices for Microsoft, Oracle and Red Hat, turning data into actionable insights and driving cost transparency and remediation opportunities.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to negotiate favorable terms, maintain SAM standards, and leverage AI to improve efficiencies.

Formación

• 5+ years of hands-on experience managing Microsoft, Oracle, or Red Hat software portfolios in an enterprise setting.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).
• Strong MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, pivots, complex calculations).
• Solid understanding of license concepts, BYOL, and cloud usage in AWS/Azure.

As a Senior SAM Specialist at ServiZurich within Zurich Insurance Group, you optimize software spend and manage licensing compliance across global IT environments. You will lead best-practice SAM methods for Microsoft, Oracle, and Red Hat, collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders. You’ll turn data into actionable insights, drive cost transparency, and enable remediation opportunities. This role offers global scope, cross-team impact, and the chance to shape SAM standards in a large, tech-driven insurer.

• Provide expert SAM guidance on complex Microsoft, Oracle, and Red Hat licensing topics across IT environments
• Understand and apply licensing concepts for on-premises, containers, and cloud deployments
• Utilize billing, tracking, and measurement tools (e.g., Azure AD, CMDB, My Access, Intune) to track software usage
• Ensure cost transparency and fair allocation of software charges to business units and service owners
• Negotiate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to secure favorable terms
• Maintain stakeholder communities and promote information sharing within the SAM ecosystem
• Drive initiatives for software cost savings, compliance risk mitigation, and process improvements
• Lead complex software contract negotiations and coordinate with legal, sourcing, and vendors
• Support global SAM standards, controls, reporting, and performance metrics
• Leverage AI capabilities to reduce manual effort and identify optimization opportunities
• Support day-to-day activities of the global SAM team
• 5+ years of hands-on experience managing Microsoft and Oracle or Red Hat software portfolios in an enterprise setting
• Proven ability to create optimized ELPs from data collection to completion
• Strong understanding of license restrictions, BYOL, and cloud usage in AWS/Azure
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft system and usage billing tooling
• Proficient in SAM tools (ideally FlexeraOne) and related data sources
• Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP, Pivots, complex calculations)
• Experience applying AI solutions in SAM operations
