Barcelona Activa is seeking a Software Asset Management Analyst to act as the subject matter expert for SAM across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. Responsabilidades

• Provide guidance on complex software licensing topics and produce Effective License Positions (ELPs).
• Manage and optimise software licensing for major enterprise vendors.
• Interpret and apply licensing concepts across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid IT environments.
• Leverage data from enterprise systems (Azure Active Directory, CMDB, My Access, Intune) to support SAM, billing, cost allocation, and reporting.
• Ensure transparency of software costs via chargeback processes and fair cost allocation to Business Units and Service Owners based on actual software consumption.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external software vendors, leading negotiations and driving mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Identify, develop, and implement initiatives that generate software cost savings, mitigate compliance risks, and enhance SAM processes, controls, and best practices.
• Lead and support complex software contract negotiations, including demand management, contract renewals and amendments, while collaborating with sourcing, procurement, legal, and vendor management teams.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of global SAM standards, governance frameworks, controls, reporting capabilities, and performance metrics.

As a Software Asset Management Analyst you will have the opportunity to:

Serve as the subject matter expert for Software Asset Management (SAM), providing guidance on complex software licensing topics and producing Effective License Positions (ELPs) across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid IT environments.

Manage and optimise software licensing for major enterprise vendors (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, Broadcom, IBM, SAP, Red Hat), ensuring compliance and maximising business value.

Interpret and apply software licensing concepts and product use rights across modern technology landscapes, including containers, cloud platforms, and traditional infrastructure environments.

Leverage data from enterprise systems and tools such as Azure Active Directory, CMDB, My Access, and Intune to support software asset management, billing, cost allocation, and reporting activities.

Ensure transparency of software-related costs by managing chargeback processes and enabling fair cost allocation to Business Units and Service Owners based on actual software consumption.

Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external software vendors, leading negotiations and driving mutually beneficial outcomes.

Identify, develop, and implement initiatives that generate software cost savings, mitigate compliance risks, and enhance SAM processes, controls, and best practices.
