Job summary

Scopely is seeking a Director, Slate Operations to lead the Slate Development Group, with a flexible hybrid model available in the UK or Barcelona. You will own end-to-end operational delivery for in-development games, aligning game teams with central partners and driving efficiency across the slate.

You will oversee cross-functional workstreams, manage escalating decisions, and partner with senior leaders to ensure launch readiness and strategic execution in a dynamic, growth-focused gaming

Qualifications

• 10+ years in program/project management across tech and direct-to-consumer businesses, with at least 5 years in games.
• Experience supporting senior executives in fast-moving environments.
• Understanding of game development, publishing, platforms, and business models.
• Ability to run multiple projects and manage ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Be the operational point of contact for specific in-development games — run the GDF cadence and coordinate game and central teams.
• Deliver operational excellence within the team, shaping service model, priorities, and ways of working.
• Drive the cross-slate operating model so independent game teams reuse proven processes.
• Bring structure to decisions — organize inputs and trade-offs early for alignment.
• Own a capstone project end-to-end (e.g., evolving the GDF, launch readiness, or central partnerships).
• Keep investment decisions well-informed — surface Greenlight Case, budget, staffing, and dependency status for leadership review.
• Unblock teams during development cycle, especially at launch readiness, coordinating with legal, IT, procurement, finance, logistics.
• Provide operational support — production perspective, process, facilitation, and navigation of the GDF.
• Operationalize playtests and validation plans and package findings for cross-functional input.
