Job summary

GE Vernova operates a ROC Technical Lead role in Barcelona, coordinating the remote operations center for offshore wind assets. The role focuses on monitoring, diagnostics, and troubleshooting to ensure safe, efficient turbine performance across commissioning and service phases.

You work with site teams and engineering experts, analyzing data, resolving technical issues, and driving continuous improvements while supporting rotating weekday shifts and occasional on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent wind-energy experience
• Hands-on wind turbine or electromechanical systems experience in ops
• Able to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools
• Strong analytical and communication skills; calm under pressure
• Willingness to travel up to 20%
• Fluent English; willing to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions
• Support commissioning and service activities via remote diagnostics
• Assist field teams in resolving issues and restoring performance
• Escalate complex issues with clear technical information
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvements
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance
