Job summary
GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind Energy) in Barcelona to oversee safe, efficient operations of offshore wind assets. You will collaborate with site teams and engineers to diagnose issues, analyze data, and drive continuous improvement across commissioning and service phases.
You will monitor turbines, perform remote diagnostics, support field teams, and participate in an on-call schedule.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems.
- Experience reading electrical schematics and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
- Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics.
- Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
- Escalate complex issues with clear technical information.
- Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
- Analyze operational data to identify faults and trends.
- Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
- Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
- Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
- Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call weekends/holidays.
