Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind Energy) based in Barcelona, Spain. You will oversee safe, efficient offshore wind asset operations from a remote center, collaborating with site teams and engineering experts to diagnose and resolve issues across commissioning and service phases.

Key responsibilities include remote diagnostics, data analysis, and supporting grid outages with a focus on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support.
• Proven experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
