Job summary

Escape Velocity Entertainment is seeking a Senior AI Designer to join our remote team and craft new AI systems for an action game with high mobility. You will lead NPC design, scripting, and behavior trees, collaborating with designers and engineers to deliver engaging player encounters.

You bring 5+ years in game design or AI development, strong communication skills, and deep familiarity with Unreal Engine and AI tooling to build compelling, competitive multiplayer experiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional game design or AI game development experience.
• Technical expertise in Unreal and/or equivalent AAA game engines.
• Senior-level proficiency in blueprint scripting and AI behaviour trees.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create exciting new enemies for a unique, high-mobility action game.
• Create design specs and technical documents.
• Collaborate with designers and engineers on NPC creation, scripting, and behaviour trees.
• Plan future work with producers and identify dependencies.
• Analyze user data and feedback to assess AI performance and necessary changes.
• Pitch detailed new AI designs to leads and directors.
