Job summary

KPS Iberia is seeking a Senior Tech Lead / Full-Stack & DevOps Engineer to join our Barcelona team. You will lead architecture and hands-on development for complex digital and e-commerce platforms for international clients.

In this hybrid role, you’ll coordinate developers, drive technical decisions, and deliver scalable solutions while collaborating with global stakeholders, on a model with four remote days and one day per week in the Barcelona office.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in technical leadership roles such as Architect or Tech Lead.
• Backend development experience, preferably Java.
• Strong cloud knowledge (AWS, Azure and/or GCP).
• Hands-on contributor to technical solutions and architecture decisions.
• Experience coordinating developers in international environments.
• Excellent communication in English.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Tech Lead / Full-Stack & DevOps Engineer to join KPS Iberia and work on complex, end-to-end digital and e-commerce platforms for major international clients.

This is a hands‑on technical leadership role. We are looking for someone who combines strong software engineering expertise with proven experience leading and coordinating developers, driving technical execution and ensuring successful delivery.

The role combines architecture, technical project leadership and hands‑on engineering. You will work closely with developers, guide technical decisions, and actively contribute to the implementation of technical solutions.

Your Responsibilities

• Understand, analyse and evaluate existing software/system architectures.

Your Profile

• Several years of experience as an Architect, Senior Architect, Tech Lead or in a comparable technical leadership role.
• Experience in backend development, ideally with Java.
• Ability to understand, assess and further develop software/system architectures.
• Solid experience with Cloud Systems (AWS, Azure and/or GCP).
• A strong hands‑on mentality and willingness to actively contribute to technical solutions.
• Good understanding of DevOps practices and modern software delivery processes (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi or similar, CI/CD pipelining etc.).
• Experience coordinating developers and leading technical workstreams ideally in an international environment.
• Strong communication skills in English, as our projects are international and conducted in English.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of container technologies and modern deployment processes.
• Experience in complex e-commerce, SaaS or digital platform environments.
• Experience with AI-assisted development, agentic coding or modern AI engineering tools.
• Good knowledge of security best practices, IAM, secrets management and OWASP principles.
