Job summary

KPS Iberia seeks a Senior Tech Lead / Full-Stack & DevOps Engineer to join Barcelona team, delivering complex digital and e-commerce platforms for international clients. You will lead architecture, coordinate developers, and contribute hands-on engineering across the stack.

The role combines architecture, leadership and hands-on engineering in an international, agile environment with a hybrid work model and Spain-based contract.

Qualifications

• Several years in architect/tech lead roles.
• Strong frontend with JS/Node/React.
• Backend experience in Java.
• Cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Hands-on with DevOps (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD).

We are looking for an experienced Senior Tech Lead / Full-Stack & DevOps Engineer to join KPS Iberia and work on complex, end-to-end digital and e-commerce platforms for major international clients.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role. We are looking for someone who combines strong software engineering expertise with proven experience leading and coordinating developers, driving technical execution and ensuring successful delivery.

The role combines architecture, technical project leadership and hands-on engineering. You will work closely with developers, guide technical decisions, and actively contribute to the implementation of technical solutions.

Your Responsibilities

• Understand, analyse and evaluate existing software/system architectures.
• Proactively identify and propose technical improvements and necessary adaptations.
• Make architecture decisions and help shape scalable and sustainable technical solutions.
• Provide hands-on support in the implementation of technical solutions.
• Take responsibility for technical project leadership.
• Coordinate developers and ensure effective collaboration within the team.
• Support the team in resolving technical challenges and maintaining high engineering quality.
• Communicate technical concepts and decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Your Profile

• Several years of experience as an Architect, Senior Architect, Tech Lead or in a comparable technical leadership role.
• Very strong frontend expertise, particularly with JavaScript, Node.js and React.
• Experience in backend development, ideally with Java.
• Ability to understand, assess and further develop software/system architectures.
• Solid experience with Cloud Systems (AWS, Azure and/or GCP).
• A strong hands-on mentality and willingness to actively contribute to technical solutions.
• Good understanding of DevOps practices and modern software delivery processes (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi or similar, CI/CD pipelining etc.).
• Experience coordinating developers and leading technical workstreams ideally in an international environment.
• Strong communication skills in English, as our projects are international and conducted in English.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of container technologies and modern deployment processes.
• Experience in complex e-commerce, SaaS or digital platform environments.
• Experience with AI-assisted development, agentic coding or modern AI engineering tools.
• Good knowledge of security best practices, IAM, secrets management and OWASP principles.
