Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a Senior Commissioning & Service Engineer specializing in Substation Automation to join our power systems team in Madrid. You will work on commissioning, servicing and optimizing advanced automation, SCADA, and protection systems for critical infrastructure.

The role emphasizes hands-on field work, technical leadership during projects, and travel to client sites as needed. The successful candidate will bring strong fault-finding skills, a solid understanding of networks

Qualifications

Experience in Substation Automation, SCADA, Protection & Control, Power Systems or Industrial Automation.
Proven commissioning and fault-finding experience on complex electrical or automation systems.
Strong understanding of communication networks, protection schemes and control systems.
Ability to work independently on customer sites and manage technical responsibilities.
Flexibility to travel when required.

Responsibilities

Commission, maintain, troubleshoot, upgrade and repair substation automation and control systems.
Support customers with technical problem-solving and lifecycle service activities.
Act as the main technical point of contact during project execution and service support.
Deliver training, technical guidance and system improvements.
Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
