Job summary

Ramboll is seeking an experienced Station Control engineer to design and implement SCADA-based control and protection solutions for substations and HV/MV networks. You will contribute from concept through to commissioning on large national and international projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across a global energy practice.

Qualifications

• Experience in plant and station control systems for substations (30–400 kV) with closed-loop control.
• Experience in SCADA, SRO, and IEC 61850–based substation automation.
• Knowledge of protection philosophies, settings and coordination for AC/DC.
• Design and integration of station architectures with RTUs/PLCs and protection relays.
• Familiarity with IEC 62443, NIS2, IEC 61508, ISO/IEC 27001 and related frameworks.
• Ability to model, simulate and verify designs using PSCAD, PSSE, DIgSILENT, MATLAB/Simulink.
• Experience with FAT/SAT and on-site commissioning; WAMS/WAMPAC is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement control philosophies for substations and HV/MV networks.
• Specify, design and apply control and protection solutions for national and international projects.
• Develop open and closed loop control strategies and protection schemes.
• Design SCADA systems including hardware, protocols and interfaces.
• Contribute across all project phases from concept to commissioning.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a professional environment.
• Work on WAMS and WAMPAC implementations.
