Hitachi Energy in Madrid seeks a Senior Commissioning Engineer specialized in SCADA for HVDC projects. You will lead on-site commissioning, engage with customers, and drive successful handover of complex protection and control systems.

You will collaborate with an international team, expand HVDC expertise, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards while delivering high-profile energy infrastructure.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in design and commissioning of HVDC stations or AC substations.
• Experience in SCADA testing and IED testing.
• Knowledge of protection relays design and coordination is a plus.
• Familiarity with communications protocols (Modbus, IEC 61850, IEC 104, DNP3.0).
• Fluency in English, strong communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Organize and execute testing and commissioning activities on site.
• Lead technical discussions with clients and consultants.
• Prepare commissioning test plans and drive customer discussions during commissioning.
• Witness FATs and perform SCADA system commissioning, or lead team members.
• Participate in Factory System Testing (FST) activities.
• Ensure scope, work division, and delivery align with contractual commitments.
• Identify changes and report them to the Commissioning Manager.
• Support tender activities related to commissioning scope.
