Ebury is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join FinCore Engineering in Malaga, offering a hybrid setup (4 days in-office, 1 day remote). You’ll help modernize the FX platform, reduce debt, and build high-throughput backend services in a regulated environment.

You’ll lead cross-border initiatives with Europe and the Americas, own design, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance, and influence platform architecture. Strong Python experience is essential; Java/C#/Go knowledge is welcome.

Formación

• Deep experience building complex backend software systems (Python is our primary stack, but strong OOP backgrounds in Java, C#, or Go are welcome).
• Background in FinTech, banking, or regulated financial environments with an understanding of core accounting principles and multi-currency transactions.
• Hands‑on experience designing RESTful APIs, integrating monitoring/alerting, and working with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Commitment to robust testing (unit/integration) and clean architecture.
• Professional English fluency (written and spoken) to work effectively across time zones.
• Willingness to participate in an on‑call rotation to maintain 24/7 service availability.

Responsabilidades

• Architect Next-Gen FX: Design and scale platform services using RFC process.
• Lead end-to-end Delivery: Partner with Product and Operations from discovery to production rollout.
• Practice Full Ownership: Own design, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Refactor & Modernize: Analyze legacy workflows, reduce technical debt, improve performance.
• Elevate the Engineering Culture: Mentor developers, review code, and promote CI/CD best practices.
