Ebury in Malaga, Spain (Hybrid: 4 days in-office, 1 day remote) seeks a Senior Software Engineer to help modernize our FX engine, reduce technical debt, and build high-throughput backend services in a regulated fintech environment.

Join a distributed team across Europe and South America, lead critical initiatives, influence architecture, and own design, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance while mentoring juniors and upholding robust testing and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Strong backend experience with scalable systems.
• FinTech or regulated financial domain knowledge.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and DevOps practices.
• Proven ability to mentor and lead initiatives.
• Proficient in English across time zones.
• Willingness for on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Architect Next-Gen FX and scale platform services.
• Lead end-to-end delivery with Product and Ops.
• Own design, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Refactor legacy workflows to reduce technical debt.
• Mentor developers and promote CI/CD best practices.
