AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Python Developer to design and build scalable microservices and REST APIs, collaborating with Product, DevOps, and Frontend teams. You will own critical backend components, write clean, well-tested code, and drive performance improvements in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes Python mastery (OOP, async, data structures), API/microservices architecture, database work with PostgreSQL/ORMs, and robust testing with Pytest, while leveraging Docker and GitHub

Qualifications

• 4+ years of backend software development using Python.
• Strong Python core concepts incl. async, memory management, and data structures.
• Proven REST APIs and distributed microservices experience.
• Relational DBs (PostgreSQL) with ORM proficiency.
• Experience with Pytest and test automation.
• Advanced Git workflows and collaboration practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable microservices and RESTful APIs in Python.
• Promote clean, testable code with modern Python practices.
• Containerize apps with Docker and optimize CI/CD with GitHub Actions.
• Design schemas, write optimized SQL, work with ORMs like SQLAlchemy.
• Integrate third-party APIs, ensure low latency, high availability, security.
