AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Python Developer to design and build scalable microservices and REST APIs, collaborating with Product, DevOps, and Frontend teams.

We expect 4+ years of backend Python experience, deep knowledge of core concepts, and proficiency with PostgreSQL/ORMs, Pytest testing, and Git workflows. Docker and GitHub Actions are a plus, as is SQLAlchemy experience. Flexibility for hybrid work is offered.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of backend Python development.
• Strong Python core concepts (OOP, async, memory management).
• Production-grade REST APIs and distributed microservices.
• PostgreSQL and ORM proficiency.
• Unit, integration, and end-to-end tests with Pytest.
• Git and collaborative workflows (PRs, branches).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable microservices and APIs in Python.
• Ensure code quality through reviews and modern Python practices.
• Containerize apps with Docker and automate CI/CD with GitHub Actions.
• Model schemas and SQL queries using ORM like SQLAlchemy with PostgreSQL/MySQL.
• Integrate third-party APIs, ensure security and availability.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
