Job summary

TuxCare Inc. is seeking a Platform Engineer to join the Platform Engineering team in the Endless Lifecycle Support department.

This is a hands-on, infrastructure-focused role combining Platform Engineering, DevOps, and CI/CD with opportunities to influence platform architecture and technical decisions. You will own the CI/CD and QA platforms end to end, ensuring reliability, scalability and cost efficiency while collaborating with engineering teams to improve tooling and developer experience.

Qualifications

• Senior-level infrastructure / SRE ownership of production services.
• Linux systems administration on bare metal and VMs.
• Kubernetes in production: running workloads and upgrades.
• Infrastructure as code (Ansible, Terraform / Terragrunt).
• Production experience with GitLab CI and CI runners.
• Prometheus/VictoriaMetrics and Grafana, including PromQL.
• Technical writing for engineering audiences.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced use of AI engineering assistants such as Claude and Codex.
• Advanced written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Own the CI/CD and QA platforms end to end from hardware to developer experience.
• Ensure platforms' reliability, quality, scalability and cost.
• Analyze usage and inform capacity, sizing and performance decisions.
• Automate tools and reduce recurring manual work.
• Contribute to platform architecture with engineering teams.
• Maintain service health with monitoring and runbooks.
• Deploy new services following best practices.
• Support developer requests and enable self-service.
• Manage incidents end-to-end: diagnosis, mitigation, post-mortems.
• Deliver infrastructure as code through merge-request reviews.
• Write technical documentation for engineers across teams.
• Collaborate with AI agents and review their output.
