Job summary

Elastic is seeking a Platform Engineering Productivity lead to define the CI/CD roadmap, secure supply chains, and scale release processes across teams. You will guide architects and engineers to deliver faster, safer deployments in a fast-evolving AI landscape.

You will remain hands-on where it matters, review code, prototype approaches, and mentor others while driving multi-quarter initiatives that improve overall engineering velocity and security.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in CI/CD and hardening release pipelines against supply chain attacks.
• Strong debugging instincts across the full pipeline stack from test runner to artifact store to cluster deployment.
• Hands-on with CI infrastructure such as Buildkite and GitHub Actions, GitOps/ArgoCD, and Kubernetes.
• Use of AI to accelerate work and understanding AI's impact on supply chain security and scale.
• Track record of multi-quarter, cross-org ownership and driving alignment.
• Ability to push back on flawed plans and gain consensus on better approaches.
• Experience directing engineers toward outcomes and breaking down complex problems into executable work.

Responsibilities

• Define the roadmap and technical vision for CI/CD across the organization.
• Identify bottlenecks, friction, or security risks and drive remediation.
• Design and enforce scalable release gates for supply chain integrity and readiness.
• Lead engineers on multi-quarter projects and own outcomes even with distributed execution.
• Drive clear technical communication and produce high-quality docs for systems and architecture.
• Act as Incident Commander on high-severity incidents and drive structural improvements.
• Raise engineering bar through reviews, mentorship, and setting standards.
