The Mill Adventure Limited is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join our Barcelona-based engineering team. You’ll work on a modern, serverless, event-driven gaming platform with autonomous teams and flexible work models.

You’ll contribute to features, integrations, payments, and market preparations, while emphasizing data accuracy, compliance, and scalable architecture. Collaboration with cross-functional partners is key.

Competenze

• 6+ years in software engineering or a senior backend role.

Mansioni

• Develop and maintain our gaming platform, including customer-facing features, compliance and reporting systems, and core platform components.
• Review and debug code with attention to quality, data integrity, edge cases and unintended effects across the platform.
• Participate in software design and architecture discussions.
• Take ownership of changes throughout the software development life cycle, clarifying requirements, assessing impact and verifying behaviour after release.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and partners.
• Use AI-assisted development tools, scripting and automation to improve development and engineering workflows, critically evaluating outputs and remaining accountable for the quality of changes.
• Design and perform tests that verify business rules, data accuracy and failure scenarios, working with QA to ensure changes are adequately covered
