Playson is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to build, optimise and scale high-load backend services where latency matters. You will own core features and write production-grade code daily in a distributed environment.

Join a cross-functional team using Node.js/TypeScript, Kafka and cloud-native infrastructure on Kubernetes with AWS/GCP. Expect on-call rotations, ownership, and impactful engineering across a real-time platform.

Formación

• Proficient in building backend services for high-load systems.
• Strong knowledge of asynchronous programming patterns and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with Kafka and advanced messaging concepts (offsets, retries, deduplication).
• Design and implement idempotent, retry-safe handlers for at-least-once pipelines.
• Familiar with gRPC or similar RPC frameworks.
• Solid experience with relational DBs (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and at least one NoSQL DB (DynamoDB/MongoDB/Redis).
• Hands-on Kubernetes and cloud (AWS/GCP) operations.
• On-call ownership of a high-load system; incident response and RCA.

• Contribute to on-call rotations ensuring system reliability.
• Engage in platform-wide tech transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineers, product and stakeholders to deliver impact.
