Job summary

Betsson Group in Málaga is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our Development team. You will design and build distributed backend services using .NET, driving containerization and cloud migration while collaborating closely with product teams.

You will contribute to scalable, reliable, and observable systems, participate in architecture discussions, and write high-quality code with strong testing and documentation practices. Hybrid work and a competitive package are offered.

Qualifications

• Extensive backend development experience with C# and .NET.
• Proficient in SQL Server, Redis and Couchbase.
• Experience with AWS and Docker and containerization.
• Familiar with unit/integration/ load testing (xUnit, NUnit).
• Experience with CI/CD, GitHub Actions and trunk-based development.
• Observability stack knowledge (Grafana, Loki, Splunk).
• Knowledge of messaging/microservices (Web APIs, Orleans).
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop distributed backend services using .NET and event-driven architecture.
• Collaborate with product and commercial teams to turn engagement ideas into scalable solutions.
• Lead architectural decisions and drive containerization and cloud migration.
• Participate in incident resolution and the team’s on-call rotation.
• Write maintainable, well-tested code and conduct code reviews.
• Maintain clear technical documentation such as ADRs, runbooks and guidelines.
