Berkley Spain, part of WRBC Services in Europe, seeks a Senior Underwriter PI/D&O to manage underwriting for new business and renewals within an authority, spanning multiple lines of business. You will support sales initiatives and collaborate across internal teams.

The role emphasizes strong broker relationships, compliance with regulations, and performance targets in a dynamic market. Madrid-based, with leadership responsibilities and cross-functional exposure.

Formación

• Minimum 5 years of experience in insurance market or similar roles.
• Proven track record building and maintaining client/broker relationships.
• Ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Integrity and strong follow-through on tasks.

Responsabilidades

• Underwrite new business and renew portfolio within Letter of Authority.
• Manage submissions by territory, broker, risk type, and product scope.
• Populate quotes in IT systems with data collection, rating and pricing.
• Issue quotes and follow up with brokers.
• Issue policies and amendments not outsourced to Portfolio Management.
• Monitor renewals and prepare renewal proposals for brokers.
• Support Head of Line of Business in portfolio performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with underwriting, operations, legal and claims teams.
• Participate in innovation initiatives, product launches and marketing projects.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations and internal procedures.
