Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience (excluding education programs).
• Hands-on with pfSense/OPNsense, IPSec VPNs and dynamic routing (BGP).
• Networking skills across switches (Dell) and Proxmox, IPv4/IPv6.
• Experience with network automation using Ansible, Python or Bash.
• Strong documentation and independently structured work approach.
• Fluent English and Spanish; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage network and firewall topics across CONVOTIS / MCON.
• Implement and document IPSec VPNs and firewall rules on pfSense/OPNsense.
• Design and document network environments for projects with thorough documentation.
• Troubleshoot routing, switching, VPN issues and perform deep packet analysis.
• Introduce basic network automation to streamline deployments.
• Collaborate with SOC to analyze firewall logs and mitigate incidents.
• Train and onboard colleagues and share knowledge within the team.
• Suggest improvements to configurations and technical details.
• Participate in shift duties with NOC/SOC, including nights and weekends.
• Take on additional tasks to broaden knowledge and assist teammates.
