Lever, Inc. is seeking an experienced Network & Security Engineer to manage and secure network infrastructure in a fully remote setup in Spain. The role focuses on pfSense/OPNsense firewall operations, IPSec VPNs, and automation—with responsibilities spanning design, troubleshooting, and documentation.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional network security experience.
• Hands-on with pfSense and OPNsense firewalls.
• Strong IPSec VPN implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with BGP or other dynamic routing protocols.
• Solid IPv4/IPv6 networking knowledge.
• Experience with switches (Dell) and Proxmox environments.
• Initial practical experience with network automation (Ansible, Python, Bash).
• Excellent documentation practices and teamwork across distributed teams.

Responsabilidades

• Manage day-to-day network and firewall operations and contribute to projects.
• Independently implement, configure, maintain, and document IPSec VPNs and firewall rules (pfSense/OPNsense).
• Design and document network environments for customer and internal projects before deployment.
• Troubleshoot advanced network issues, including routing, switching and VPN connectivity.
• Collaborate with SOC/NOC teams to analyze firewall logs and respond to security events.
• Develop basic network automation to streamline deployments.
