Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Network Design Engineer based in Spain to translate OT security architectures into practical network, firewall, and IDS designs for complex industrial environments.

You will work with Network Operations, Security Architecture, and site teams to ensure secure connectivity, proper segmentation, and reliable network performance across brownfield installations.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of IP networking and network design experience, preferably in OT/industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of VLANs, subnets, routing, and segmentation.
• Hands-on firewall design experience including NAT, rules, logging, and traffic analysis.
• Experience with OT IDS technologies and their deployment.
• Familiarity with Purdue architectures, industrial DMZs, and industrial protocols.
• Ability to translate high-level architectures into detailed network designs.
• Excellent technical documentation skills for Low-Level Designs.

Responsibilities

• Transform OT security architectures into detailed network designs for secure connectivity across industrial environments.
• Translate security zones and conduits into VLANs, subnets, routing, and firewall boundaries.
• Develop comprehensive firewall designs including interfaces, zones, traffic flows, and services.
• Analyze firewall logs and traffic to validate OT communication dependencies.
• Design IDS deployment details: sensor/collector placement, connectivity, and visibility requirements.
• Define SPAN/TAP/traffic mirroring for IDS monitoring.
• Produce Low-Level Designs and implementation-ready docs.
• Collaborate with Network Operations, project teams, and site stakeholders throughout the design and implementation.
