Job summary

meteocontrol is seeking an OT Security Engineer in Madrid to support multiple customer projects across stages. You will implement security solutions, assist with network segmentation and hardening, and conduct vulnerability assessments and OT-focused testing.

Ideal candidates have OT/ICs security experience, knowledge of IEC 62443 standards, threat modeling skills, and fluent English. The role involves collaboration with IT, engineering and production teams, contributing to renewable energy

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional OT/ICs security experience.
• Knowledge of common network protocols and IT architectures.
• Security technologies and concepts knowledge.
• Familiarity with IEC 62443 standards.
• Experience with threat modeling and risk analyses.
• Experience with security tools (firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS).
• Hands-on, structured working style.
• Strong conceptual, analytical, and meticulous approach.
• Goal-oriented and independent work.
• Fluent English is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Implement integration plans for security solutions and support deployment.
• Support network segmentation and system hardening efforts.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and OT-focused penetration testing.
• Conduct threat and risk analyses and document improvements.
• Collaborate with IT, engineering and production teams.
• Contribute to security architecture for renewable energy plants.
• Lead security discussions with customers and suppliers through project phases.
