DXC Technology in Alicante, Spain, seeks an experienced Mainframe Storage Administrator to manage the organization’s DASD, tape, and virtual storage. You will ensure data integrity, availability and performance across the enterprise’s mainframe systems.

The role involves daily SMS routines, DASD pool monitoring, disaster recovery planning, and on‑call support, with the opportunity to lead outages and mentor peers in storage practices.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in mainframe storage administration.
• Proficiency in mainframe operating systems (z/OS) and storage management software (e.g., SMS, DFSMS).

Responsabilidades

• Implement and enforce security measures to protect sensitive data across mainframe storage systems.
• Perform daily storage management activities, including SMS routines, DASD pool monitoring, housekeeping batch jobs, and on‑call support.
• Manage and maintain storage devices, including DASD, tape, and virtual storage.
• Ensure data integrity and availability through regular backups and disaster recovery planning.
• Monitor storage performance and capacity utilization to optimize resource allocation.
• Lead and participate in disaster recovery drills, directing team members and validating the effectiveness of the DR plan.
