Payhawk in Barcelona is hiring the first senior lifecycle marketing specialist for our growth engine. You will build renewal, onboarding, and retention programs from scratch, shaping how we nurture prospects and retain customers as a key contributor reporting to the VP Growth Marketing.

This role demands hands-on expertise with a full marketing automation stack, comfort working without a playbook, and close collaboration with regional marketing, ABM, partnerships, and operations to drive

Qualifications

• Must have senior lifecycle marketing experience in B2B SaaS with hands-on experience building nurture, onboarding, retention or win-back programmes from scratch.
• Deep, hands-on expertise with a marketing automation platform end to end, including segmentation, journeys, workflows and reporting.
• Comfort being the first and only person in the role, with no existing playbook or team to inherit.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills working with regional marketing, ABM, partnerships and marketing operations.
• Track record of using retention and expansion metrics (NRR, GRR, churn) to guide campaign strategy.

Responsibilities

• Build and run renewal and retention campaigns to protect and grow the existing customer base.
• Launch and manage lead-nurture tracks for prospects not yet sales-ready.
• Launch and manage opportunity-nurture tracks to expand deal scope and win rates.
• Expand into upsell, expansion, win-back and reactivation flows, and customer advocacy programmes (case studies, referrals, NPS).
• Align campaigns with region-specific pipelines and retention targets with regional marketing leads.
• Partner with marketing operations to ensure campaigns are tracked and reported accurately.
• Own all external customer email communications and manage overall flow and product/ service updates.
