Formación

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Platform Accounting team performs critical functions to ensure the accounting accuracy for the funds. The team’s core responsibilities are then to review and approve the fund administrators’ net asset valuation (NAV), review, and process invoices, manage the audit process, and foster relationships with many service providers to ensure timely and accurate information. Team members are also involved in performing project work and are expected to actively participate in the development, testing and review of Innocap' s proprietary tools.

The Senior Fund Accountant, Platform Accounting is responsible for the following functions:

Partake in communication and project work with internal and external partners and collaborate on fund onboarding.

Review valuation policies and engage with Innocap’s valuation committee and fund administrators.

Participate in fund audit, including management of timelines, participation on calls, coordination with external and internal partners and review of IFRS and US GAAP financial statement drafts.

Review and provide feedback on fund documentation such as management agreements and partnership agreements.

Coordinate fund set-up with the fund’s administrator on the calculation of fees during the drafting of fund documents and frequently monitor service level agreements.

Prepare and regularly review and monitor fund budgets.

Review NAV calculations, management/incentive fees and expense ratios for a variety of alternative investments products.

Act as point person for escalated queries from clients, investment managers, administrators, and counterparties.

Attend board meetings, engage with the board members when needed

Train and mentor more junior accounting team members and stay updated on industry knowledge.

Collaborate on process improvement and documentation and perform other activities as assigned.

PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired seniority level: mid-senior level (minimum 4-5 years of experience).

Strong knowledge of various financial instruments and their valuation and experience with drafting valuation policies.

Experience with hedge funds with different investment structures and instrument types.

Good knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP reporting standards.

Knowledge of various legal documents such as Offering Memorandums and Partnership Agreements.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365, especially Excel and SharePoint.

Analytical, detail- and control-oriented, resourceful with proven ability to stay organized and manage work in a timely manner.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate information to internal and external stakeholders.

Demonstrated leadership qualities along with a proactive, positive, and adaptable approach to work.
