Impress in Barcelona is seeking a Senior Front-end Engineer for the Backoffice to lead the transformation of our digital presence. You will own multiple React frontends for clinic agendas, booking flows, patient treatment management, and EMR integration, collaborating closely with design, backend, and QA.

Bring 5+ years of frontend experience, expert React and TypeScript, strong state management, and a passion for performance.

• 5+ years of frontend development experience.
• Expert-level React knowledge (internals) and TypeScript.
• Strong experience with Redux and React Query.
• Solid understanding of modern frontend tooling and performance optimization.
• Experience in product teams with designers, backend engineers and QA.
• Comfortable using AI coding assistants daily.

Responsabilidades

• Own the Clinic Experience: Build and maintain React frontends for clinic agendas, booking and scheduling flows, patient treatment management, and EMR.
• Solve Complex State Problems: Model state with real constraints—availability, resources, treatment stages, market-specific rules.
• Bridge Frontend & Backend: Collaborate with backend engineers on API contracts and end-to-end flows.
• Raise the Bar on Quality: Code reviews, unit/e2e tests, monitoring and error tracking after release.
• Use AI as Part of Your Workflow: Apply AI assistants in implementation, review and testing to improve workflows.

What You’ll Do

• Own the Clinic Experience: Build and maintain multiple React-based frontends covering clinic agendas, booking and scheduling flows, patient treatment management, and electronic medical records.
• Solve Complex State Problems: Clinical processes have real constraints — availability, resources, treatment stages, market-specific rules. A lot of the difficulty here is modelling state correctly, not styling it.
• Bridge Frontend & Backend: Collaborate closely with backend engineers on API contracts and end-to-end flows that cross several services.
• Raise the Bar on Quality: Solution and architecture reviews before implementation starts, unit and e2e coverage on critical paths, monitoring and error tracking after release.
• Use AI as Part of Your Workflow: AI assistants are part of our everyday workflow — in implementation, review and testing. You will use them daily and help improve the workflows around them.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of frontend development experience.
• Expert-level React — you understand the internals, not just the API.
• Expert-level TypeScript — you write it without thinking twice.
• Strong experience with state management patterns — Redux and server-state tooling such as React Query.
• Solid understanding of modern frontend tooling, build setups and performance optimization.
• Experience working in a product team alongside designers, backend engineers and QA.
• Comfortable using AI coding assistants in your daily workflow.

Nice To Have

• Booking or scheduling systems — availability, calendars, resource allocation.
• Med-tech or healthcare experience — clinical workflows, EMR, patient data, or regulated domains.
• RxJS — parts of the system use reactive streams for real-time state.
• WebSockets — real-time connections and keeping client state in sync.
• Basic backend knowledge (REST APIs, databases).
• Familiarity with infrastructure concepts (CI/CD, containerization, cloud services).

Tech Stack:

• Frontend: TypeScript, React, Redux, RxJS, React Query, Material UI.
• Backend (for context): Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS.
• Infrastructure: AWS, PostgreSQL, microservices.
