Affirm, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager of Software Engineering for Card integrations and internationalization. You will lead multiple teams across partners and processors, steering technical direction and accelerating partner integrations in a remote Spain setting.

The role emphasizes AI-enabled engineering, high-quality delivery, and a strong ownership culture. You will hire, mentor, and shape a high-performing organization while collaborating with EU and US stakeholders to build scalable,

Qualifications

10+ years of software engineering experience.
5+ years managing engineering teams and 2+ years managing managers.
Experience leading a multi-team engineering org through a long-term technical strategy.
Ability to guide architecture, reliability and quality decisions across portfolios.
Ability to explain strategy and tradeoffs to engineers, partners and executives.
Experience growing managers into senior leaders and building diverse teams.

Build a strong team culture and set high standards.
Define the technical direction and long-term roadmap for Card initiatives.
Lead with AI usage to accelerate delivery and encourage rapid initiative-taking.
Collaborate with stakeholders across teams and the business to ensure technical excellence aligns with business results.
Establish ownership culture with high accountability and scale-focused investments.
Mentor and develop a group of managers and engineers.
Participate in on-call rotations as required.
