Job summary

Qualifyze, a leading life sciences compliance platform, seeks a Senior DevOps/SRE Engineer to own cloud and container infrastructure. You’ll implement IaC, manage Kubernetes clusters, and drive secure, scalable systems while mentoring engineers and shaping infrastructure strategy.

You will collaborate with product and engineering leaders, design CI/CD pipelines, and ensure compliance across environments, with a hybrid work setup in a fast‑growing company.

Qualifications

• Significant experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), Kubernetes, Helm, and tools like Datadog.
• Good knowledge of managing IaC with Terraform.
• Experience creating and managing pipelines and workflows, with GitHub Actions or similar.
• A strategic mindset, with a willingness to participate in high-level discussions on product and infrastructure strategy.
• Ability to work autonomously, take ownership of projects, and drive them to completion with minimal oversight.
• Strong understanding of security and compliance requirements, with experience implementing compliant solutions in a cloud environment.
• Experience collaborating with software development teams and technical leadership, including architects and team leads.
• Effective communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to stakeholders across departments.
• Passion for creating pragmatic solutions that align with product and business needs.
• Ability to lead initiatives independently and provide technical expertise to the engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and maintain cloud-based server and database infrastructure, managed with Kubernetes.
• IaC as the base philosophy for managing infrastructure.
• Own and manage our monitoring setup, utilizing Datadog modules for proactive infrastructure monitoring.
• Collaborate closely with team leads and software architect to align engineering efforts.
• Guarantee security and compliance of environments, working toward necessary certifications.
• Contribute to strategic decisions on infrastructure in line with product direction and growth.
• Collaborate with development teams to design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor other engineers on DevOps best practices.
• Identify opportunities for system improvements and drive implementations.
